RIISA - The Orthodox Church Museum of Finland

RIISA - The Orthodox Church Museum of Finland is the source of empirical knowledge and experience that extends the religious and cultural boundaries. The museum continues the activity of The Museum of Antiquities founded in the monastery of Valaam in 1911.

The thousands of years of Byzantine tradition meet the cultural heritage Karelian Orthodox communities in the collection exhibition "Stairway to Sanctity". This exhibition is complemented by special exhibitions located in the Ravenna Exhibition Space, the home church of the Archbishop, and the multifunction room Mosaiikki.
